Core Charge Policy
El Turbo

Many El Turbo products require a core charge, which ensures the return of the original turbocharger core for remanufacturing.
1. Core Charge Overview

A core charge may be added to your order at checkout.

The core charge is refundable once an acceptable core is received and inspected by El Turbo.

Core charges vary by turbo model.
2. Core Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning their turbo core to El Turbo.

El Turbo does not provide prepaid labels or reimburse inbound core shipping costs.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the core is properly packaged to prevent damage during transit.
3. Core Return Timeframe

Core must be returned within 30 days of receiving the replacement turbocharger.

Cores received after this period may be subject to partial or no refund of the core charge.
4. Acceptable Core Conditions
To qualify for a full core charge refund, the core must:

Be complete and rebuildable

Not be cracked, broken, or excessively damaged

Have no missing major components

Match the turbo model purchased
El Turbo reserves the right to reject cores that do not meet these conditions.
5. Core Charge Refunds

Once the core is received and approved, the core charge refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Processing time for refunds is typically 5–10 business days after inspection.
6. Non-Refundable Cores
Core charges will not be refunded if:

The core is not returned

The core is damaged beyond repair
-
The incorrect core is returned

The core has been disassembled or modified
